After a stressful micromechanics exam (and an entire day cleaning the classroom), we were able to put that section behind us. I passed with a 5.1 (very disappointed) so I was more than happy to never file again. Our next section was one I was already familiar with: Oyster and quartz. I did Rolex case work almost every day at my job before enrolling and had a lot of quartz experience from my time at Shinola, so this section was going to be a breeze. However, it did afford me opportunities to both further my understanding of quartz and to teach my classmates a subject I was more knowledgeable in than the instructor. Instructing the class on how to perform Oyster waterproofing checks was very fun and showed how much work I had to do when it came to educating others in an easily digestible fashion.
